The Public Education & Business Coalition (PEBC) is a Denver-based nonprofit organization that collaborates with schools, districts, legislators, and communities nationwide to recruit, train, develop and support educators who, in turn, support learners at all levels. The Colorado Writing Project empowers teacher writers and writing teachers to engage and inspire students to be lifelong writers. Using research-based writing workshop, CWP brings joy to the teaching and learning of writing. Started in 1986 as a partnership between Colorado Department of Education and the University of Colorado at Boulder and now under the leadership of a small group of Colorado teachers, it has grown to offer summer workshops, both virtual and face to face, a Young Writer’s Camp, and seminars throughout the year.
InnEdCO focuses on inspiring and connecting educators across the state of Colorado who are passionate educators across the state of Colorado who are passionate about innovation in education. Along with its annual conference, InnEdCO has launched a new podcast highlighting the stories from educators across the state and offers numerous grant opportunities.
The Colorado Language Arts Society is a state affiliate of the National Council of Teachers of English, a professional association of educators in English studies, Literacy, and Language Arts. CLAS is a sponsor of the Colorado Teen Literature Conference. CLAS publishes a semi-monthly newsletter, Currents, and an award-winning journal, Statement.
SCBWI is the preeminent membership organization for children’s book creators.
